Timber Frame Peg Die
Made from 25mm OD/ 19mm ID mild steel tube, with the last 3/4 of the tube reamed out to 20mm to reduce friction along the length.
Approximately 150mm in length. The base plate is 100mm x 100mm x 6mm with 8mm holes in each corner.
Please note that the peg dies are manufactured from mild steel and are not hardened. As such, care should be taken if using them with steel striking tools.
Case hardening or additional reinforcement can be provided upon request.
The die is finished in a black top coat for initial protection, this will wear off as the die is used.
